Celebrate Seollal: Lunar New Year Cooking Special at ParksKitchen Hi everyone, As the Lunar New Year approaches, it’s time to gather, cook, and share the flavors of Seollal. We are thrilled to invite you to a very special edition of ParksKitchen, where we’ll be diving deep into the heart of Korean tradition. This isn’t just a cooking class—it’s a cultural journey. While we master iconic holiday dishes, we’ll also explore the rich history and unique customs that make the Korean New Year so meaningful. The Menu Celebrate the "Year of the Horse" by learning to prepare these festive staples from scratch: - Tteokguk (Rice Cake Soup): The essential Seollal dish. We’ll be simmering a rich, silky beef bone broth that symbolizes a fresh start and longevity. - Tteok-Galbi: Juicy, hand-minced short rib patties seasoned to perfection—a true royal court delicacy. - Modeum Jeon: A colorful platter of assorted Korean savory pancakes, a centerpiece of any traditional holiday table. The Pairing To elevate the experience, we will be pairing our feast with Hwayo, South Korea’s premier premium Soju. You'll learn how its crisp, clean profile complements the rich flavors of our handmade dishes. Also, enjoy your meal with ParksKitchen's famous, homemade, Kimchi that has been fermented for 2 months. If for some reason you cannot attend the class you booked, please feel free to cancel by emailing info@parkskitchen.com at least 72 hours in advance. If you let us know well in advance, we will provide you with a class credit but unfortunately, cancellations made within 72 hours will not be refunded.
